Group suing Lieutenant Governor over tax reform referendum

A group is suing Lieutenant Governor Spencer Cox after their citizen's referendum against Utah's recent tax reform measure was rejected.

In their lawsuit, The People's Right challenges the state on several points, including a requirement that organizers of a referendum must have voted in a previous election.

The state elections office approved another citizen's referendum, and supporters are already gathering signatures to get it on the ballot.
