Health Department receiving calls about businesses not following guidelines
The Utah Health Department is reporting they have received an influx of calls complaining about businesses not following the Safety Order.
Health department spokesman, Nicholas Rupp, says they have gotten about 15 to 20 calls daily from people alleging large chain and locally-owned restaurant employees are not wearing face masks or maintaining social distance.
He added that when they get complaints like these, the first move is educating the businesses on the order and sending an inspector for a follow up and if they fail to comply, the businesses can be closed.
The department plans on randomly sending health ambassadors to inform business owners and employees on the order.
