Health Department reporting highest one-day virus death toll
The Utah Department of Health is reporting the highest one-day death toll since it began tracking COVID-19 cases.
Yesterday's report from the agency shows an additional eight deaths, bringing the total statewide to 88.
The state also reported an additional 24 hospitalizations due to the virus, which is also a new one-day high.
So far, over 75-hundred Utahns have tested positive for the virus, with nearly 43-hundred of those cases now listed as recovered.
