Historic jet fighter lands without landing gear in Richfield

A historic 50s era fighter bomber is being examined for damage after needing to land on its belly at the Richfield Municipal Airport.

Richfield Police say the FJ-4 Fury was coming in for a landing yesterday when the pilot failed to extend the landing gear on the plane.

Crews were able to get the plane up onto its landing gear and removed it from the runway.  No one was injured.
