Photographers And Bus Drivers? Utah Jobs Becoming Obsolete
Jobs that may disappear in Utah
There was a time when you would get in an elevator and there was someone there to help you get to the floor you wanted. Elevator attendants are long gone, along with milk delivery men, all because of technology that changed what was needed.
Even in your lifetime jobs have become obsolete. Think of the telephone operator that was there when you punched in 0, or the video store clerk. Not as much need for someone to rewind VCR tapes.
This is nothing new. Think of all the jobs that don’t exist from the 1800s. Wagon makers, gun smiths, and the guy who lit the streetlamps. There will always be new jobs to replace the ones that become obsolete. You get a robot to make french fries, someone still needs to install and maintain it.
With the development of artificial intelligence and self-driving cars, here are some jobs that might be taken over by technology.
Bus Driver
They already have self-driving people movers in some cities.
Photographer
With so many breakthroughs giving you easy ways to manipulate a photo, getting the perfect shot can be created.
Delivery Person
Drones and self driving cars are making their way into delivery.
Website Designer
Programs and AI are making this easier to accomplish.
Educator
On-line learning can and is being done by artificial intelligence in some places.
There are many other areas where technology is changing how jobs are done. A lot of them are in customer service, but even stock traders may be replaced by AI.
This isn’t a given though. Most of us respond better to a real person and want that personal interaction. Still, if you are worried about your job going away due to technology, start learning more about where things are going in your field. Chances are you will be the one that moves forward with it.
