Layton woman to stand trial in her children’s murder

A Layton woman will stand trial for the murder of her two children after receiving treatment at the Utah State Hospital for nearly nine years.

A judge ruled yesterday that 53-year-old Sun Cha Warhola is now competent to stand trial.

Prosecutors say Warhola strangled her eight-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter to death in her home back in 2010.

Her attorneys say she suffers from "severe mental illness."
