Local Restaurant worker arrested for theft

A local restaurant worker has been charged with theft, after she was caught on footage stealing from a safe at work.

Court files say 54-year-old Misti Wilgar appeared in court Tuesday.

The owner of a restaurant on St. George Boulevard gave police surveillance footage of Wilgar taking cash out of the safe in the restaurant's office.

Police say it happened twice between April 22nd and April 25th.

Officers said Wilgar had a record dating to 2008.  Her next court date is May 14th.
