Man wanted for attempted murder in California arrested in Cedar City

A man wanted for attempted murder and assault in California is in custody after his arrest in Cedar City.

Joshua Swarthout was arrested Friday night in what law enforcement is calling a coordinated operation.

The Riverside County, California Sheriff's Office contacted the Cedar City Police Department and told them that Swarthout was living in the area.

Swarthout is being held in the Iron County Jail until he can be transported back to California.
