Members of several political organizations support Utah tax code referendum

Members of several political organizations have announced their support for a referendum to undo the recent overhaul of the Utah tax code approved by state lawmakers.

During a rally at the at the State Capitol, Utah Legislative Watch, the Utah Tax Reform Coalition and the United Women's Forum announced their support for the referendum.

The tax code changes include a reduction of the state income tax, but additional taxes on services as well as a sales tax on food.

Supporters of the referendum are collecting signatures to give voters the final say in the 2020 election.
