More Than 100 Pounds of Marijuana Seized from I-15 Traffic Stop

(St. George, UT) -- Over 100 pounds of marijuana is seized from a Wisconsin motorist, after she was stopped on I-15 at Milemarker 13 last week. Washington County authorities say they stopped by a black car with Florida plates trailing another vehicle on the freeway's northbound side. After the stop, the responding officer saw several large plastic bags in the car's back seat, along with a grey duffel that took up most of the car's rear seat. The officer called for a K-9 who detected enough of a scent to search the vehicle. They found 112 individual bags of what was thought to be marijuana. The suspect was arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, a Third-Degree Felony charge.
