Nellis AFB to hold Red Flag exercises

Nellis air force base in Nevada is beginning a series of special combat-training exercises.

And the noise from them will definitely be noticeable. Residents in Southern Utah and Nevada will see and hear a lot of military jets overhead during the next couple of weeks, as the Nellis Air Force Base begins its Red Flag exercises.

The exercises give mission commanders, ground controllers, and air, space and cyber operators the chance to experience realistic combat in preparation for future warfare.

The exercises wrap up on August 2nd.
