New rules for vaping and e-cigarettes retailers
The Utah Department of Health has issued emergency rules involving vaping products and e-cigarettes.
Ryan Bartlett of the state's Tobacco and Prevention Control program says he hopes the new rules will open some eyes.
Health officials say all retailers selling those products must post notices regarding the danger of using unregulated THC products in their devices.
Flavored vaping products also have new restrictions, with sales being limited to tobacco specialty businesses.
This all comes after the Health Department determined many vaping-related lung illnesses in Utah involved unregulated THC cartridges.
