Eight local vape shops are taking the Utah Department of Heath to court over the ban on flavored e-cigarette products.

The group filed a complaint in court yesterday, seeking a temporary restraining order against UDOH's emergency rules.

Under the regulations, only tobacco specialty shops are allowed to sell flavored vaping products, and all stores that sell vaping products must post warnings about the dangers of unregulated THC cartridges.

The vape shops argue that UDOH has no evidence that flavored vaping products are responsible for nearly one-hundred vaping-related illness cases in state.
