The Utah Senate has given final approval to legislation that would put Utah's public colleges and universities under one governing board.  Senate Bill 111 would create the Utah Board of High Education in place of the State Board of Regents and the Technical Colleges Board of Trustees.  Republican State Senator Ann Millner is sponsoring the bill, and says the move will help make college more affordable, make it easier for students to transfer between schools and help meet workforce demands.  The proposal now moves forward to the House for consideration.
