Students at West High School stage walkout

Students at West High School are supporting their principal after he was placed on administrative leave by the Salt Lake City School District.

Hundreds of students staged a walkout yesterday after Principal Ford White was allegedly suspended for personally driving three students home after he found them drunk on campus last week.

Valeti Amone said she was one of the three students White took home.

WHS administrators told students they would not be penalized for the protest.
