Task force evaluating Utah beer with higher alcohol content

A state task force is trying to evaluate the effect that selling beer with a higher alcohol content will have on Utah, even though sales don't start for another month.

The Beer Availability Working Group met yesterday to try to establish how it will measure the impact of sales of higher alcohol beer.

The data could lead to a rollback of the new law if it is found to have a negative impact on DUI and underage drinking.

The first report from the group is due at the end of this month.
