The treasurer for a nonprofit that helps children is facing charges for allegedly embezzling 145-thousand dollars from the group.

Michelle Coon was arrested yesterday for felony theft and was released from custody after posting bail.

Coon reportedly took the money from Friends of Uintah and Daggett County Children's Justice Center over a period of ten years.

Police say an investigation found multiple unauthorized charges to a credit card in Coons' name as well as several checks made out to Coons.
