A trial begins today for a woman criminally charged after interrupting the General Conference for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Twenty-five-year-old Crystal Legionaries admits to shouting during the session back in March 2018, calling on the Church to take action against accused sexual predators.

Prosecutors reduced the charges against Legionaries to a class B misdemeanor back in May, taking away the threat of jail time.

Legionaries has insisted the trial move forward, so she could defend her actions.
