UDOT to add LED lights to snowplows

The Utah Department of Transportation is hoping the addition of green LED lights to their snowplows will help drivers see the road clearing vehicles more clearly.

UDOT has begun a pilot program that adds the strip of lights to the plows, giving them a greenish glow even in the daytime.

They hope the lights may help drivers avoid collisions with their plows.

UDOT will observe the effectiveness of the lights before attempting to roll out the program to all of its plows.
