Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes has joined with 20 other Republican colleges to urge the U.S. Senate to reject the articles of impeachment against President Trump.

In a brief sent to the Senate, the attorneys general argue that charges brought against the President are "legally and factually flawed."

They also contend the articles from House Democrats are a "partisan political ploy that will undermine the democratic process" permanently.

In his own statement, Reyes asserts that Democrats never set out to "ascertain the truth" during their investigation into the President's conduct.
