Utah Becoming More Ethnically Diverse in Future

Utah is going to become more ethnically diverse in the next 46 years.

A new study from the Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute at the University of Utah shows that Utah's population will expand by nearly three-million people by 2065.

Researchers say half of that number will be members of an ethnic or racial minority.

However, Utah probably won't lose its status as a white majority state.

The study estimates Utah's population will be 65-percent white and 35 percent minority by 2065.
