The Utah Department of Agriculture and Food is forming a rapid response team to deal with any outbreaks of foodborne illnesses. 

The Food and Drug Administration gave the agency one-point-three-million-dollars to form a team that will include local, state and federal experts in food safety. 

State officials say the team could also be activated in the event of a disaster to make sure any food distributed to the public is healthy and safe.
