Utah firefighters on the way to California

California authorities are asking Utah firefighters to help out with wildfires raging in their state.

The Salt Lake City Fire Department says it is deploying a 12-man team, along with several wildland vehicles to the front lines today.

The Unified Fire Department is also preparing to send a team of its own.

A team from the Lone Peak Fire District is already in Sonoma County.
