Utah Health Officials Concerned with Obesity
New numbers involving obesity in Utah have health officials concerned.
According to a reports from the Utah Department of Health, the percentage of adults at an unhealthy weight has remained consistent over the last 20 years, with about three-out-of-five people fitting that description.
However, UDOH says the percentage of adults within that category who are considered obese has jumped to nearly 42-percent, up from 33-percent in 1999.
Utah remains one of the least obese states in the country.
