Delegates to the first-ever virtual Utah Republican state nominating convention are already telling GOP leaders they want to do it again.

The weekend convention had an estimated 93-percent delegate turnout, with some delegates telling the GOP chairman that they preferred the virtual format to an in-person gathering.

Candidates for governor Spencer Cox and Greg Hughes received enough votes to advance to the Republican primary ballot.

They will face Jon Huntsman, Jr. and Thomas Wright, who gathered enough signatures from Utah voters to also make the June 30th ballot.
