Want to adopt an Emu ?

Kane County authorities are trying to find a new home for a large emu that was found running loose on State Route 9 two weeks ago.

The Kane County Sheriff's office said they've been unable to find the bird's owners, so they're inviting people to come forward who may be interested in adopting it.

Officials say the person who adopts the emu will need to have a large enough yard for it.
