Woman’s body found in van

Police in Roy are looking into the death of a woman whose body was found in a van.

Officer Josh Taylor of the Roy Police Department said the death is being treated as suspicious though early indications are that it may not be a homicide.

Officers were called to the parking lot near 56-hundred South and 19-hundred West yesterday afternoon after receiving a report about an unconscious woman.

They found the 42-year-old Hispanic woman dead when they arrived.

Investigators say they hope surveillance video from surrounding businesses gives them more clues about the case.

Taylor says investigators should be able to piece together what happened to the woman.
