Zions Bank employees warned about future layoffs

Zions Bank will be laying off about five-percent of its workforce by the end of this year.

The bank began notifying employees of the upcoming layoffs yesterday.

With over ten-thousand employees in 11 states, the cuts will result in a loss of about 500 jobs.

A company spokesman said he is uncertain how many employees in Utah will be affected by the layoffs.
