18 year old charged after beating father over cell phone

An 18-year-old in Weber County faces several charges after he allegedly beat his father during an argument over his cellphone.

Arrest records show that Koby Burton got angry with his father yesterday after his phone had been turned off.

Police say they found the victim with a black eye that was severely swollen when they arrived on scene.

Officers later found Burton at a nearby gas station, and say the suspect later admitted to "losing it" before attacking his dad.
