Utah 911 emergency seems to be fixed
A problem that kept several Utah emergency agencies from receiving 9-1-1 calls appears to be fixed.
Salt Lake City, Sandy, Davis, Summit and Washington counties were among the communities who could not receive emergency calls by cell phone Saturday and part of yesterday.
The issue appeared to be fixed as of yesterday, though several agencies plan to continue working with cell phone carriers to try to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Local police and fire departments say it is always a good idea to keep their non-emergency numbers on hand in case a call to 9-1-1 doesn't go through.
