70 year old woman trapped by boulder rescued

Summit County authorities say a 70-year-old woman who got trapped Monday when a boulder fell on her in the Hayden Peak area has been rescued.

The woman was hiking near the Highline Trail head when the boulder crushed and trapped her, breaking her thigh bone.

A Life Flight helicopter hoisted her to a meadow where medics treated her before she was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

The woman's condition hasn't been released.
