Attorneys question whether Warren Jeffs had mental breakdown
Lawyers for a woman who accuses a polygamist leader of ritualized sex abuse say they question his alleged breakdown.
The attorneys want the Fundamentalist L-D-S Church leader Warren Jeffs to be forced to give a deposition in the suit brought by their client, referred to as R-H.
Jeffs' defense team said he isn't mentally competent to give testimony.
The plaintiff's attorney, Alan Mortenson, wrote that they hadn't backed up the mental breakdown claim.
Jeffs is in Texas, serving a life sentence for child sexual assault.
