Avalanche danger continues to be very high in the Utah backcountry.

The Summit County Sheriff's office says an avalanche was triggered yesterday in the same area where a snowboarder died over the weekend.

A skier using a snow kite triggered the avalanche in the Dutch Draw area but was not buried or injured.

The sheriff's office asked anyone who triggers or sees an avalanche to report it to local officials immediately, adding that triggering an avalanche is not a crime and no action will be taken against anyone who reports one.
