Skiers and snowboarders stuck at Alta during the latest winter storm are finally able to get back home.

Little Cottonwood Canyon was reopened to traffic early Saturday afternoon after a two-day closure.

Officials had closed the canyon due to three natural avalanches that made travel dangerous.

Those who were stuck in Alta were also subject to an inter-lodge order requiring them to stay indoors as the snow kept falling.

Nearly three feet of new snow fell at Alta and Snowbird during the storm.
