Democratic Congressman Ben McAdams broke rank with his party on a bill to raise the federal minimum wage to 15-dollars an hour.

The bill that passed through the House this morning would gradually raise the rate until October 2025, and then tie the rate to inflation after that.

In a statement, McAdams says he supports increasing the federal minimum wage, but does not support a "one-size-fits-all approach."

He suggests using a measure that would calculate the rate by looking at the regional cost of living and purchasing power.
