DWR investigating poaching of six wild elk
The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is investigating the poaching of several wild elk near Park City.
The agency says six bull elk were killed in an area outside Park City between December 20th and January 15th.
Investigators say the elk were killed with a small-caliber bullet and likely died very slowly and painfully.
Area residents created a GoFundMe account and raised ten-thousand-dollars for a reward in the case.
