Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is searching for poachers after eight deer were illegally killed and left to rot in the rural area west of Capitol Reef National Park.

D-W-R Sergeant Seth Decker says they've had multiple incidents over the past few months and is concerned because the deer were left to waste and people's lives could be in jeopardy as gunshots could hit remote homes.

He believes two deer were killed sometime between March 23rd and March 28th and a couple months ago six deer were killed and left to waste near Lyman.

Decker says there's a possibility the two incidents have a correlation, but for now there is not enough evidence.
