Ed Smart to speak at LGBTQ conference

The father of Elizabeth Smart will publicly discuss his decision to come out as gay at a LGBTQ conference next month.

Ed Smart became a prominent advocate for missing children after his daughter was kidnapped from her family's Salt Lake City home in 2002.

Back in August, Smart opened up about his sexuality after it was revealed that he and his wife, Lois, had divorced.

He will speak on December 7th at the Encircle Summit in Lehi.
