Fire reported at Genpak Plastics in Cedar City

Fire crews from St. George, Kanarraville, Paragonah, Parowan and Brian Head along with Cedar Fire are currently fighting a fire inside the Genpak Plasics building in Cedar City.

Genpak is located on Highway 56. The highway is reportedly closed from Cross Hollow Road to N. Airport Road. Highway 56 has been closed from Cross Hollow Road to N. Airport Road.

Employees were seen evacuated outside the facility that stores plastic containers for the food container company.

Cedar City firefighters on scene said all employees are accounted for and there have been no reported injuries.
