St. George Mayor Jon Pike and the City Council is going on the road, hosting four Neighborhood Open Houses this Spring in locations throughout St. George. These provide an opportunity to mingle with elected officials as well as each City of St. George department to get a better feel for everything that goes on in the city.

Everyone is invited to attend each open house, which goes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Dates and sites are:

  • March 28 at SunRiver St. George Community Center (4275 Country Club Drive)
  • April 11, Firehouse Park (1917 West 1800 North)
  • May 9, Town Square Park (50 South Main Street)
  • June 13, Hela Seegmiller Historic Farm (2592 South 3000 East)

“I’m looking forward to engaging with our citizens to get a feel for what their concerns are and their ideas for the future of our city,” said Mayor Jon Pike. “We don’t have all the answers. We depend on input from members of our community to help us make informed decisions for the greater good of St. George. These Neighborhood Open Houses are a great way for your voices to be heard.”

City departments that will be represented at the Neighborhood Open Houses include: public works, water, energy services, leisure services, police, fire, golf, human resources, economic development, budget, finance and legal.

Jimmie Hughes, Joe Bowcutt, Michele Randall, Bette Arial and Ed Baca are members of the city council.

There will be refreshments and some swag items available each open house. See www.sgcity.org for information.
