A former president for the Provo Missionary Training Center for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints admitted to sexual misconduct in an interview with BYU Police.

In a 2017 video interview Joseph Bishop tells investigators that he asked a female missionary to show him her breasts.

He also states that he immediately told an ecclesiastical leader about his inappropriate behavior, but was allowed to keep his position.

Bishop is at the center of a lawsuit from McKenna Denson, who says he sexually abused her in 1984.

The assertion from Bishop that he told a faith leader about the misconduct contradicts Church claims that they first became aware of the allegations in 2010.
