Coronavirus causes major changes to church missionary training center

The coronavirus outbreak has prompted major changes at missionary training centers for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

In a second letter sent today, church leaders say all missionaries who were scheduled to go into the MTCs in Provo or Preston, England on March 16th and beyond will be trained remotely by video conference. 

Other training centers will function as usual, but will not receive any new missionaries from regions where government officials are restricting activity. 

All missionaries will receive specific information regarding their training as their start date approaches.
