Governor Herbert deciding whether face masks should be mandatory
Utah Governor Gary Herbert may be close to deciding on whether to issue a statewide order requiring face masks in public.
CEO Theresa Foxley of the Economic Development Corporation of Utah says most business leaders she's talked to would support such a move.
The governor met with Utah House Speaker Brad Wilson and Senate President Stuart Adams yesterday afternoon to discuss the issue.
Herbert will meet with COVID-19 Unified Command today to get their input before making a final decision.
Salt Lake County Mayor Jenny Wilson says she is happy with how well residents have responded to requests to wear masks in public.
