At least a dozen homes are threatened amid flooding in Washington County Wednesday.
Heavy rain is moving through Southern Utah creating nuisance flood and plenty of muddy neighborhoods.

Several rivers are running high including the Virgin River through Springdale.

Toquerville is dealing with rushing water and the Washington County Sheriff reported flooding in the Brookside area.

About 15 homes are threatened and deputies said outbuildings are dealing with mud and water. They report three homes were likely damaged.

Washington County Sheriff and members of the community are on the scene filling sandbags.

Flash flood warnings were issued for portions of Southern Utah Wednesday and included most of Washington County and a section of Kane County until Thursday morning.

Members of the public are reminded to stay away from rising flood waters.
