Hurricane Man Arrested for Alleged Kidnapping and Assault

John C Loveridge of Hurricane is in custody in St. George for allegedly Kidnapping and Assaulting a 33-year-old female.

According to St. George Police Department Loveridge, was staying at a hotel in St. George where he met the female victim, a guest at the same hotel. Police said, Loveridge convinced the woman he needed help bringing something into his room and as she did, he barred the door behind her holding her against her will for just under an hour.  Police also said, a sexual assault was attempted.  Fortunately for the woman she was able to convince Loveridge to let her go.  The next day she reported the incident to the St. George Police.
