Utah’s WEIRD Traffic Law That EVERYONE NEEDS To Know!
TRAFFIC SUCKS! We can all agree on that! But everyone is not willing to agree on the "Zipper Merge"! But it's FAR MORE EFFECTIVE!

What is a Zipper Merge? According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, a Zipper Merge is specifically set up for vehicles to merge from two lanes into one lane in a zipper fashion. This keeps traffic flowing. Each car should alternate zipper fashion into the remaining open lane just before the point of closure.
With the Zipper Merge, this means you stay in your lane until the road actually forces you to merge into a new lane. DO NOT MERGE MILES IN ADVANCE.
In March of 2022, the Utah State Legislature has passed a new law to require drivers to zipper merge when approaching a closed lane on a congested road. States across the country are adopting these laws to help cut down on traffic, and it's actually helping! The Zipper Merge is cutting traffic down by a whopping 40%!

What's Going There? The Old Main Street Cinema 6 In St. George
One of the many questions asked here in Southern Utah is "What's going there?" That question is asked for good reason too! It feels like so often we have new businesses coming to town, and old businesses closing down for good. One of the most commonly asked 'What's going there?' is the old Cinema 6 movie theater on Main Street. Covid officially killed it off, but before it's death it was serving as the local "Dollar Theater", where you could go to older movies for much cheaper!
What's Going There?
It was announced earlier last year that the building was going to be the New St. George Musical Theater Performing Arts Campus. This won't be the actual Music Theater, but more so the training campus for their auditions, rehearsals, and more.
The actual NEW St. George Musical Theater will be across the street to the West. It will be located next St. George Place, the future spot of Hobby Lobby, R.E.I. and more. The new Musical Theater will be on the old location of Anderson Lumber.
The Renderings Of The New Musical Theater:
St. George is attempting to turn this area of town into the "Art District" of St. George. This will be bringing life to a part of town that has really needed a shot of life. Will you be attending any plays at the NEW St. George Musical Theater?
