Big Burger in a Small Town

When traveling From Hurricane to Kanab there is a place you should stop to eat. If you are looking for something delicious off the beaten path, there is a place in Colorado City that serves amazing burgers. This might even be worth a drive on a weekend adventure.

It is Zions Hickory BBQ and they serve up burgers, sandwiches and loaded sides. It is a food truck permanently placed at the location a block or two off the highway. You can order online or at the window. There was a line of cars the whole time we were there and for good reason.

I got the pastrami burger with loaded fries. It was stacked and the fries were dusted with parmesan and smothered in cheese and jalapenos. There are many other options including home made chili on a hot dog or on your loaded fries.

My wife got the All American Burger and it was delicious. I would have gotten a picture but she began eating it before I could. The price was about $10 per burger, about the normal price these days, but the burgers were at least double the size. The bun wasn't soggy and kind of like a pretzel bun.

There were also sauces added to the burgers that added a juicy flavor without overwhelming the taste. The sauce on the pastrami burger was white and had a hint of parmesan and garlic with mayo. The All American Burger sauce was more orange and slightly tangy.

It did take some time to get our food so plan ahead. It was also after a rain storm and the there was puddles everywhere. Not a big problem 90% of the time in this part of the country.
