3 Places You’ll Get Pulled Over In St. George Utah
We have all been there before.
You're sailing down the road in your car, listening to the radio and off in your own little world.
That is until you realize that you just dusted past a parked police cruiser.
You begin to panic. You look at your speedometer, and suddenly realize that you were going about 20 mi over the speed limit. Your eyes glance back to the rearview mirror, and sure enough the police cruiser is pulling out of its hiding spot and headed towards you.
You slam on the brakes, but that just brings more attention to yourself. You've been caught. You know it, the cop knows it, and the flashing red and blue lights let everyone else know it as well.
It's no fun to get a ticket, but there are ways of getting out of it.
No I'm not talking about flirting or bribery, that rarely works. What I'm talking about is not getting pulled over in the first place.
Here are three spots in St. George, Utah where police officers are known to hide out and wait for speeding cars.
BRIGHAM ROAD: Right off the freeway, it's tempting to keep going freeway speeds. Brigham Road is deceptively wide and straight, making it easy to lose focus on staying under 35 mph.
SUNSET BLVD: Coming out of Santa Clara and going downhill, you can bet there is a police cruiser with a radar gun nearby.
RIVER ROAD INDUSTRIAL AREA: The stretch of road is not as busy as other areas, and the wide lanes and straight road will make you think you can go faster than you should. Look out for the fuzz and be safe!
