State lawmakers plan to resume discussing major changes to Utah's tax structure.

News reports say that members of the Utah House and Senate plan to get together this week to start forming the task force that will discuss and come up with the plan.

The hope is to bring more balance to the taxes that fund state government services, reducing reliance on income taxes and increasing sales taxes on businesses and services.

Governor Herbert plans to call a special session to ratify the plan once lawmakers agree on it.
