LDS missions will cost more
The first increase in missionary living costs in 16 years is approved by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The cost of serving a mission will increase to 500-dollars-a-month next July.
The cost increase applies to missionaries from 18 nations, including Japan and Australia.
The cost now for men to serve a two-year mission will be 12-thousand-dollars and for a woman to serve an 18-month mission will be nine-thousand-dollars.
